Life Care Center of Aurora team rescues lost child

“The team helped reunite the child with his father and turned what could have been a tragic day to a day filled with joy, caring and love.”

This is not a story of one at the time of need but many, a team coming together to care for and protect a small 3-year-old boy who was found in a street of traffic in front of Life Care Center of Aurora, Colorado.

On Nov. 20, 2017, as Bruce Schmidt, maintenance director, was coming into the facility, he stopped to pick up a box that was discarded in the entrance. What he saw next was a miracle....

Michael Magdirila, physical therapist at Life Care Center of Aurora, Colorado, used his day off work to go to Costco and purchase a walker for a resident who was returning home but had no means of getting a walker. He also made an elaborate ethnic meal for a patient.
